The grounds of this modern residence, designed in the Sarasota School of Architecture style, had declined and lacked a connection to the architecture. Additionally, the existing washed-shell entry had become rutted due to the erosion on the sloped drive. DWY developed a landscape with a clear entry sequence, an entertainment pavilion reflecting the architecture and defined garden spaces that seamlessly connect the exterior and interior. The result is a regional experience of modernism that expresses the mid-centurey architecture while accommodating the owenr's lifestyle and the climate of South Florida.
